Badenya, Inc., “being of one mother”, is a New York-based cultural and educational organization. We document, present, and preserve Pan-African cultural heritage and artistic traditions to nurture self-knowledge.

Presentation
Through cultural events, including festivals, concerts, live performances, workshops, and film screenings, we share and educate the public on the seriousness, richness, and diversity of Pan-African artistic traditions with audiences around the world.

Preservation
Through films and written materials, we document and preserve familial and communal histories and artistic expressions to facilitate self-knowledge.

Dankawalie Village
Badenya and the people of Dankawalie people village are co-creating solutions to the educational, environmental, and cultural needs of the community while preserving and adapting the tradition of the village.
